FAQ

Arabic tutoring — common questions

How much does an Arabic tutor in Dubai cost?

Arabic tutoring at Unitors starts from AED 150 per hour. Monthly packages start from AED 799 for online tutoring and AED 1,599 for home tutoring across Dubai and Abu Dhabi. We cover IGCSE First and Second Language, IB Arabic A and B, MOE curriculum, and A-Level Arabic.

What is the difference between IGCSE Arabic First Language and Second Language?

IGCSE Arabic First Language (0508) is designed for students who have Arabic as their primary language — it tests at a native speaker level with demanding reading, writing, and composition tasks. IGCSE Arabic Second Language (0544) is for students who have learned Arabic as an additional language — it tests listening, reading, writing, and speaking at an intermediate level. Our tutors cover both and will ensure your child is entered for the right qualification.

Can you help non-Arabic speakers learn Arabic from scratch?

Yes. We work with complete beginners through to advanced learners. For non-native speakers starting Arabic, our tutors build a strong foundation in the alphabet, pronunciation, basic grammar, and conversational phrases before progressing to academic reading and writing. Many of our tutors have experience teaching Arabic to students from over 20 nationalities.

Do your tutors cover the UAE MOE Arabic curriculum?

Yes. Our Arabic tutors include Emirati and Arab tutors who know the MOE curriculum thoroughly — from primary through to secondary. We help students with the textbook content, homework, exam preparation, and the specific writing formats the MOE curriculum requires.

My child struggles with Arabic grammar — is that common?

Extremely common — even among native speakers. Arabic grammar (Nahw and Sarf) is complex and systematically different from European languages. Our tutors approach it structurally, using clear pattern-based explanations and lots of practice. Grammar that seemed impenetrable typically begins to click within a few focused sessions.
