Privacy Policy
Last updated: 30 July 2026
This Privacy Policy explains how Unitors ("Unitors", "we", "us", or "our") collects, uses, shares, and protects personal information. It applies to our website unitors.com, our tutoring platform at app.unitors.com, and any related services, communications, and forms (together, the "Services").
Unitors is a private tutoring service based in Dubai, United Arab Emirates. By using our Services, you agree to the practices described in this policy.
1. Information We Collect
Information you give us
- Contact & enquiry details — name, email address, phone number, and the content of any request, application, or message you submit through our forms.
- Student information — where a parent or guardian requests tutoring, this may include the student's first name, grade/year, curriculum, subjects, and learning needs.
- Tutor & job applicant information — for those applying to tutor or join our team: education, experience, subjects, availability, CV/resume links, video links, and application answers.
- Account information — when you create an account on app.unitors.com: name, email, phone, password (stored encrypted), and role (parent, tutor, or administrator).
- Lesson & booking records — details of sessions booked, schedules, attendance, progress notes, and communications related to tutoring.
- Payment information — when you make a payment, our payment processor (Stripe) collects and processes your card or payment details. Unitors does not store full card numbers on its own servers.
Information we collect automatically
- Usage & device data — IP address, browser type, device information, pages visited, and interactions, collected through analytics tools.
- Cookies & similar technologies — used for analytics, functionality, and advertising measurement. See "Cookies & Tracking" below.
2. How We Use Your Information
- To respond to enquiries and match students with suitable tutors.
- To review and process tutor and job applications, including scheduling interviews.
- To create and manage accounts, bookings, schedules, and lesson records on our platform.
- To process payments and issue receipts through our payment processor.
- To communicate with you by email, phone, SMS, or WhatsApp regarding your enquiry, booking, application, or account.
- To operate, maintain, secure, and improve our Services and understand how they are used.
- To send relevant updates or offers where you have consented, and to measure our marketing.
- To comply with legal, tax, and regulatory obligations.
3. How We Share Your Information
We do not sell your personal information. We share it only as needed to run the Services, with:
- Tutors and families — to arrange and deliver tutoring (e.g. sharing relevant contact and lesson details between a matched tutor and family).
- Service providers who process data on our behalf, including: Stripe (payments); Google Analytics and Microsoft Clarity (analytics); Meta/Facebook (advertising measurement and WhatsApp messaging); Web3Forms (form delivery); Calendly (interview scheduling); and Cloudflare and our hosting providers (website and platform hosting).
- Authorities or advisors where required by law, regulation, or to protect our rights, users, or safety.
4. Children's & Students' Data
Unitors provides tutoring to school-age students, whose personal data is typically provided by a parent or guardian. Where we collect information about a student, we rely on the parent or guardian providing it and consenting on the student's behalf. We collect only the information necessary to deliver tutoring and we do not knowingly use students' data for advertising. If you believe a child's data has been provided without appropriate consent, contact us and we will remove it.
5. WhatsApp & Messaging
We may contact you via WhatsApp (using the WhatsApp Business Platform) and other messaging channels to respond to enquiries, confirm bookings, and send service updates you have requested. Message content is used only for these purposes. You can opt out at any time by replying to ask us to stop, or by contacting us at connect@unitors.me.
6. Data Retention
We keep personal information only for as long as needed for the purposes described above, or as required by law (for example, financial records for tax and accounting). When no longer needed, we delete or anonymise it. You may request deletion at any time — see our Data Deletion page.
7. Data Security
We use reasonable technical and organisational measures to protect your information, including encryption in transit (HTTPS), access controls, and trusted infrastructure providers. Payment card data is handled by Stripe under its own security standards (PCI-DSS). No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
8. Your Rights
Subject to applicable law, including the UAE Personal Data Protection Law, you may:
- Request access to the personal data we hold about you.
- Request correction of inaccurate or incomplete data.
- Request deletion of your data (see Data Deletion).

- Request a copy of your data in a portable format.
To exercise any of these rights, email us at connect@unitors.me.
9. International Transfers
Some of our service providers process data outside the UAE. Where this happens, we take steps to ensure your data is handled in line with this policy and applicable law.
10. Cookies & Tracking
We use cookies and similar technologies for essential functionality, analytics (Google Analytics, Microsoft Clarity), and advertising measurement (Meta Pixel). You can control cookies through your browser settings. Disabling some cookies may affect how the Services work.
11. Third-Party Links
Our Services may link to third-party websites or tools. We are not responsible for their privacy practices, and we encourage you to read their policies.
12. Changes to This Policy
